Based in Toronto, Canada, Green Oil Inc. (GOI) is a recycling company specializing in the collection, processing, and pretreatment of used cooking oil (UCO) as a feedstock for renewable diesel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production. Founded in 2010, GOI currently supplies approximately 700 tonnes of biofuel-grade UCO per month, collected from more than 6,000 restaurants, hotels, universities, food processors, and other establishments across Ontario. GOI holds an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) from the Government of Ontario and is certified by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) system as a Collecting Point, Trader, and Trader with Storage under both the European Union and CORSIA sustainability frameworks. GOI is conducting an externally funded R&D program to advance HEFA-based Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), focusing on waste-lipid pretreatment, fuel characterization, and collaboration with research and industry partners. As part of this effort, the company actively participates in ASTM International committee activities supporting the development of aviation fuel standards and fuel qualification.
