The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council, in cooperation with USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service and the Korea Biofuels Forum, hosted the 2026 Seoul Biofuels & Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Conference in Seoul, South Korea in July.
Axens has announced the launch of the ERA project (Ethanol to Refuel Aviation), France’s first industrial-scale sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production unit based on advanced bioethanol. The facility is expected to begin operations in 2030.
The U.S. EPA on July 16 released data showing nearly 2.16 billion RINs were generated under the RFS in June, up 7% when compared to the same month of last year. Total RIN generation for the first half of 2026 reached 11.94 billion.
Gevo Inc. on July 15 updated its recent progress on its business objectives, including those related to ethanol production, carbon capture and sequestration (CCS), biogas production and plans to produce SAF.
Delta plans to scale its use of SAF across multiple U.S. hubs and priority cities with a five-year agreement with Shell Aviation set through 2030. The collaboration will help build the infrastructure, delivery, blending and logistics.
