American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall on July 16 sent a letter to congressional leadership calling for additional support for U.S. agriculture producers as AFBF analysis predicts farmer losses will deepen in 2027.
The EPA on July 20 announced the appointment of 21 new members to the Farm, Ranch, and Rural Communities Federal Advisory Committee. Members were chosen for their expertise in key EPA priority areas, including regenerative agricultural practices.
CARB on July 14 provided additional clarity on its 2025 LCFS amendments with the release of a new 13-page frequently asked questions (FAQ) document. The agency said the FAQs will continue to be updated periodically.
The U.S. EPA on July 16 released data showing nearly 2.16 billion RINs were generated under the RFS in June, up 7% when compared to the same month of last year. Total RIN generation for the first half of 2026 reached 11.94 billion.
Hawaii Gov. Josh Green on July 14 signed legislation to create a clean fuel standard (CFS) that aims to reduce the carbon intensity (CI) of transportation fuels by at least 50% below 2019 levels by 2045. Hawaii is the fifth state to implement a CFS.
