The U.S. DOE has announced its intent to issue funding to support high-impact research and development (R&D) projects in two priority areas: sustainable propane and renewable chemicals and algal system cultivation and preprocessing.
The USDA Rural Business Cooperative Service on Dec. 13 announced it is extending the deadline to apply for the agency’s Section 9003 loan guarantee program. Applications must now be submitted before Dec. 31.
Air New Zealand on Dec. 18 announced its largest purchase of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to date, securing more than 30 million liters from Neste to be uplifted from Los Angeles and San Francisco through to February 2026.
The International Air Transport Association released new estimates showing that SAF production volumes reached 1 million metric tons in 2024, double the volume produced in 2023 but below original estimates.
Parkland announced it has successfully produced Canada’s first batch of low carbon aviation fuel (SAF) at its Burnaby Refinery in British Columbia. The fuel was primarily produced from non-food grade canola oil and tallow feedstocks.
